SAAHAS is organizing Chak De SoCal 3.0 in collaboration with Southern California Youth Cricket Academy to spread awareness about the connection between physical and mental wellbeing through the game of cricket. Alongside the game of cricket, there will also be intergenerational mini sporting events welcoming all genders to compete as individuals as well as teams. Other activities will include henna art, music, singing, dance and painting with youth and other participants. The purpose of this event is to shatter the stigma around mental health, open the doors for a conversation and educate and empower the attendees with resources that can help alleviate mental stress through different mediums. Boxed lunch, snacks and hot & cold beverages will be provided to the participants and attendees.
